Danice Ragland

I am a Nutrition Educator for Grays Harbor county. I teach classes at Steven’s Elementary in Aberdeen and help out at Elma Elementary.

Though I have no work degree or experience with nutrition, I have a life-long love of food!!! My youngest was born with a rare disease, so he cannot digest sugars and starches. I learned from this life experience to read labels to determine the amount of carbs/starches in food and learned about the different types of sugar. I know the importance of protein and vegetables. I have a new-found respect for food and what I put in my body.

Outside of Food $ense, I love preparing tax returns! I enjoy camping and any type of water-lakes, oceans, waterfalls, rivers, etc. I also enjoy baking and trying new recipes.
