Meet Jodee Nickel

Jodee works as a 4-H Youth Development Program Coordinator and a Food $ense Nutrition Educator since 2006. Before joining the Food $ense team, Jodee worked part time for many years for WSU Extension doing farm research on vegetable varieties and insect identification in Grant and Clark Counties. Jodee delivers nutrition education in Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms in Clark County.
Jodee works with youth of all ages in the classroom and in the garden setting. She feels one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is to watch a child plant something for the first time or explore their food sample using mindful eating techniques. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Jodee graduated with a BA from Evergreen State College in 2006, with a degree in Agriculture and Sustainable Community Development. Jodee grew up in the small town of Soap Lake in central Washington.
